The House of Representatives has voted 286 to 138 to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). The bill now goes to the President for signature.

President Obama is expected to sign the bill into law.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor voted against the bill, and the Speaker of the House, John Boehner did not vote.
